Keeping An Eye on Speckle Park Calves

High priced calves and cattle at a Speckle Park Cattle stud in NSW, felt a little safer this calving season, thanks to a new Land Watch system. The client doesn’t live on the family property but rather lives in town, some 15 minutes away. Not a long way to drive to check on the stock, but with such valuable calves, the trip was being completed a couple times per night. Not looking forward to going through it all again this season, we suggested a solution that would provide full time live viewing of the calving yards onto the television in the house in town. Excited and truth be told, possibly a little sceptical, the client gave the go ahead.

Thanks to our Land Watch Link and the strategic placement of a repeater station on a central hill, we were able to achieve line of site straight from the farm to the roof of the house in town. This means that whenever and however often during the day and night, they can ensure all the calves and all the mums are doing well. That’s what I call ‘keeping an eye on what’s important’ - with $0 ongoing costs.
