River Systems on Rural Properties

Property monitoring has grown to be a key focus for many of our clients with systems watching over the waters for stock, keeping an eye on the irrigators or even checking on crops and weather conditions. This is particularly useful to those of our clients with multiple properties, some of which are hours, if not, days apart. The security benefits for the secondary properties give peace of mind and reduce the risk of theft but  for the benefits of property monitoring, more often than not, the saving is time. Time saved from doing the water run or as is the case for some of our clients in the Northern Rivers area of NSW, a trip to the second property.

One of our clients, as is with many others, cross a water way at the entrance to their property, which for 90% of the year is dry or at the most, ankle deep. Recent rains has turned this crossing into quite the Red Sea (just without a Moses around to grant safe passage)! Fortunately, their Land Watch camera system that was installed last year allowed them to remotely view the crossing to check the water level. Previously this would have only been known on arrival at the property. If the water level was too high there was no choice but to turn around. Now this wasted trip can be avoided with a 2 minute check on the phone.
